World of Warcraft's 2009 Arena tournament is nearly here. Lucy, David and I are putting together a team. Now, we're not the best PvPers. Not by a long shot. Lucy hates PvP and David is a dirty stinking keyboard turner, but I think that 2 weeks of limitless PvP practise with Level 80 characters in all Epic gear will go a long way towards honing our combat skills. Hell, I'd just like to see how a Retadin plays.
Anyway, we're going in to this purely as a practise/have fun event. Not really to compete at all. It'll be cool if we manage to earn the Vanquisher title or the Armored Murloc pet, but that'll just be icing on the cake. We're calling ourselves "The Fail Train", so I think that will give some precedent as to our expected performance.

Last one, I promise.
Another Blink-182 post I'm afriad. Check out these photos from the history of the band, it's cool to see not just how the band have changed over the last few years, but also how their image has changed sinse the early nineties. Remember when Tom had blonde hair? No, me neither.

OPB
Check out Mark Hoppus' blog at www.mynameismark.com. It's been dormant for ages, but sinse the band got back together, there's been a ton of posts with some really cool images.

They gave me a bit of my childhood back
If you haven't already seen Blink-182 are back together. This is the best news I've had all year (yeah, okay, it's only February). I can't wait to see their new stuff, although I was also looking forward to +44 putting out a new album. I can easily sacrifice something like that for a chance at new Blink material though. I imagine it will be a while before we see anything come out of this, however.

Review Two
Check out my second review for Boomtown here. Taking on Lich King for a review was a large task and, to be honest, 800 words is not enough. There is just so much damn content there. Still, I think it went okay. I want to up the amount of critical writing I'm doing. I think I need more practise. I guess reading more of the same kind of stuff would help as well.

Back again
I guess it has been a while hasn't it? A lot has happened in the past few months between posts. I've gotten myself into a new flat, my XBOX broke again and needed to be repaired, I'm working on my second review for a video game and my World of Warcraft account got hacked.
I'm living with my girlfriend in Caversham now. It's a really nice place to live and the walk to work every day is a plesent one. It's a pretty spacious place to live if you can deal with low celings and so far I have managed to find a hidden corner or shelf-top to accomodate for all of my burgeoning computer hardware and console odds and ends. We're now nicely settled and things are going well.
Christmas is fast approaching as well. It'll spell the end of a pretty eventful year.

The review is up
Just as the title suggests, my first review has been posted up on Boomtown. Check it out and let me know what you think. It feels kind of wierd to have something I've written appear on a website that I've been reading for years now. Right now I want as many people to read this article as possible and hand me reams of scathing criticism. I figure that would be the best way to speed my drink fuelled decent into hack-journalism.
As for the absense of posts for the last week or so, I have been on a family holiday in France. I won't go into much detail, as recounting tails of such ventures are usually only entertaining for those individuals that attended. As such, you are unlikely to be interested unless you have the surname "Matthewson" and even then, your previous attendance is not guaranteed.
Oh, and about the unfortunate demise of my XBOX. I managed to persude it to "run away from the light" (the light beeing approxamately three-quaters of a ring in shape and glowing red) with the help of a towl. Anyone familiar with Douglas Adams may have a smirk on their face right now. Yes, they really are that useful.
